I love weddings, but do you know what I love even more? Engagement sessions!!
When you have your engagement session it is so. much. FUN!
You + your boo get to be totally yourselves, with me as your professional third wheel/paparazzi (plus it’s such a great opportunity to get to know each other before your wedding day!)
Some people are 100% ready to jump right in to their engagement session while others are a liiiiittle hesitant. No worries – here are my 3 tips to preparing for your engagement session:
1: Pick a location you two are most comfortable with! This can be: your favorite city park, your favorite beach, a brewery, your backyard, or even in your house 🤯 I am all about making you two as comfortable as possible and that all starts with your fave location.
2: Consider what time of day you want your engagement session to take place. 🙌🏻 The best time for outdoor portraits is generally 2 hours after sunrise or two hours before sunset, BUT that isn’t a hard and fast rule. It’s important to discuss this with your photographer! 👈👈
3: What the heck do you wear?! This is the number one question I’ve heard from couples, and I completely understand why! We want to look our best, be comfortable, and we don’t always know what photographs the best. Never fear – Pinterest is here! I have outfit guide boards I share with my clients to help avoid any outfit planning stress and I always encourage you to do some research of your own! No two people have the same exact style and your photos are a representation of who you and your fiancé are – your clothes should reflect that too!
Your engagement photos can be one of the most fun things you do while wedding planning. Its important to make the most of them!
