Don’t forget to eat

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and nerves on your wedding day, but make sure to nourish yourself throughout the day. A hangry bride is no one’s idea of a good time! Plan a light, healthy breakfast and have some snacks on hand to keep your energy up. Have a family member or attendant offer you and your partner food and water periodically throughout the day, too!

Don’t neglect the timeline

Creating a well-planned timeline is crucial for a seamless wedding day. I work with each of my clients to create a seamless wedding photography timeline that helps you have a stress-free day!

Make sure to communicate with your vendors, including your photographer, to ensure everyone is on the same page. Avoid last-minute changes and allow for buffer time to account for any unexpected delays. A well-structured timeline will keep the day flowing smoothly and allow your photographer to capture all the special moments.

Don’t be unprepared for family photos

Family photos on wedding days can be a bit hectic, but with proper planning, they can run smoothly. Create a detailed shot list in advance and designate a family member or wedding coordinator to help gather and organize family members. Clear communication with your photographer and family members beforehand will ensure that the session is efficient, allowing everyone to enjoy the celebration without feeling overwhelmed.

Don’t micromanage your vendors

Trust your wedding vendors and delegate tasks to responsible individuals. Trying to control every little detail on your wedding day can create unnecessary stress. Remember, this is your time to be present in the moment. Allow others to handle logistics while you focus on enjoying yourself.

Most importantly: Don’t forget to enjoy the moment

Amidst the whirlwind of the day, remember to pause, take a deep breath, and truly enjoy each precious moment. Avoid getting caught up in perfection or stressing over small details.  It’s your day, and it’s important to take moments for yourself. Step away from the crowd, steal a quiet moment with your partner, or simply enjoy a breath of fresh air. Trust your vendors to handle their responsibilities, allowing you to be fully present and soak in the love, laughter, and joy surrounding you.

Your wedding day is a day of celebration, love, and cherished memories. By avoiding these common pitfalls, you can ensure a stress-free and seamless experience while allowing your photographer to capture the magic of your special day.
